The challenge
The challenge was to seamlessly integrate the existing systems and data from RENT4EVENT and EMS into a central Shopware platform. The goal was to consolidate the product inventories of both shops so that customers could find and order all products through a unified interface. In addition to this complex migration, it was necessary to consider the changed category structure, which posed further challenges.
Furthermore, the shop was enhanced with new features to improve user-friendliness and functionality, including improved search functions, expanded filter options, and an optimized order overview. Technically, the shop was to be elevated to the next level by increasing performance, enabling scalability, and creating a stable, future-proof foundation for the increasing traffic and demanding requirements of the events industry.
Solution
To address these challenges, we developed tailored solutions. We integrated the systems of RENT4EVENT and EMS into a central Shopware platform and consolidated the product inventories from the locations in Berlin and Hanover. In doing so, we incorporated two different locations into the shop to ensure optimal overview and user experience.
Additionally, we took the changed category structure into account and implemented a custom plugin that optimizes product presentation and facilitates the purchasing process. These measures ensured a smooth migration and a technologically advanced shop that meets the demands of the events industry.
We also continue to apply our expertise after the transition by providing ongoing support and improvement of the shop to meet the needs of customers and the demands of the market.
